Various soil pollutants are pesticides.
Sources of Soil Pollution:
Industrial Waste: During manufacturing, industries produce wastes such as chemicals, paints, paper, and pulp mills and foundry waste.
Domestic Waste: It includes garbage, domestic refuse which include plastic, papers, glass, old construction materials, toxic substances, paper, waste food.
Chemical Fertilizers: Farmers use chemical fertilizers so as to provide nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium for better productivity.

Pesticides: The chemicals used to kill pest are pesticides usually in the farm. It kills natural bacteria in the soil and reduces biological level.
Effects of Soil Pollution:
Sewage containing mud include many disease causing agents which can cause diseases.
Human and animal excreta contains pathogens that causes problem to crops when used as manure. Loss of Fertility of Soil: Due to soil pollution soil loses its fertility.
