Our bo Rock Lee is a true inspiration to people everywhere. While he seems super strong, he is representative of people who possess disabilities. Or so I feel. In the Naruto world, the inability to manifest chakra would be considered a disability. And that is one reason why I like him. He has gone so far and done what many considered to be impossible, all because he had one person who believed in him, and because he believed he himself could do it. Without giving up, he pushed farther and harder than any other shinobi, and managed to become a Shinobi of high degree despite never once casting a successful jutsu. Of course, for most people, they just see a bowl cut, bushy browed kid in a green body suit. But those who call themselves true Rock Lee fans know that Rock Lee’s journey was not one by choice. He wished to be a Shinobi, but he could never do so through jutsu like Naruto or Neji or Sasuke could. And that is where Might Guy comes in. Now, Might Guy can use Jutsu, so he isn’t entirely like Rock Lee, however, he is a Taijutsu main, and wanted to show Lee, as well as the world, that Shinobi was a way of life, not a hand sign to weave. Rock Lee began to train heavily under Might Guy, training himself half to death just to grow strong enough to do what his mentor was attempting to teach him to do, and what was he teaching him to do? A powerful technique passed down through the Might Family’s generations. It was not exactly a secret technique, but there were no other clans who could do it the way that Might Duy and Might Guy could. And he passed this technique onto Rock Lee, the student he saw as more of a son than even blood could provide. And it was because of this unique bond that Lee learned how to awaken it. The Eight Inner Gates.
