The European Space Agency, ESA has released this amazing video showing beautiful Aurora borealis as seen from the International Space Station (ISS)
Still images taken by ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti on the International Space Station were joined together to create this amazing timelapse video.
An aurora is a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude i-e Arctic and Antarctic regions.
It is caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere. .
In northern latitudes, this effect is known as the aurora borealis or the northern lights.
