Researchers have discovered what may well be the oldest man-made wooden structure dating back almost half-a-million years.
According to a study published in the journal Nature, on Wednesday the structure is composed of overlapping logs, attached together with a notch.
The structure was unearthed in 2019 in a riverbed in Zambia, near its border with Tanzania.
A few wooden tools were also discovered.
It's believed that the structure was used as the base for a walkway or platform.
Its age means that it could have even been made by an extinct species of humans.
The find could also mean that stone-age humans stayed at the site for an extended period or made frequent return visits.
