How we visited Cinque Terre on our road trip through Italy without breaking the bank!
We parked our campervan at an uninspiring but safe RV park in La Spezia (Area Sosta Camper ATCMP) where we could stay the night for just €15.
It’s right in-between two busy roads in an industrial area so definitely not the prettiest of places, but with the train station just a 15-minute bike ride away, very convenient! We booked our train tickets in the Trenitalia app and it cost us just €5.80 for two people to Vernazza.
Hiking along one of the trails in the Cinque Terre National Park is free in the off-season, so this didn’t cost us anything (check if the trail you’d like to take is open online before going).
Our last stop of the day was Manarola, where we bought some chilled drinks at a shop and took them down to the tiny harbour to drink in the sunshine. A perfect ending to what turned out to be a super affordable day trip!
