I got a rotisserie for Christmas. It runs on 2 D batteries. It was crazy easy and I am very happy with it. The pork over an open fore was amazing. It even had a smoke ring. It was way easier than I thought and it performed beyond my expectations. Who knows about the longevity of the product but we ran it for about 5 hours on two batteries and it didnt run low. So far I would recommend it.
