Surah Rahman, also known as Surah Al-Rahman, is the 55th chapter of the Qur'an. It contains 78 verses and is one of the Meccan surahs, meaning it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad during the early years of his prophethood in Mecca.

The name "Surah Rahman" comes from the mention of the "Rahman," or the Most Merciful, in the first verse of the surah. The surah begins by praising and glorifying God, and describing His attributes of mercy and kindness towards all of His creations.
