There are often disputes over the right to property. Especially in the case of two marriages, the problem becomes quite complicated. Recently a similar case came before Bombay High Court. The case was that if the husband dies and they have done two marriages, then who will be entitled to the government compensation after the death, first wife or second wife? After the death of a sub-inspector of Maharashtra Railway Police from Kovid-19, this case reached the court, its compensation amount was 65 lakhs. When it came to take compensation money, the daughter of the second wife petitioned the Bombay High Court. The first marriage of the deceased was in 1992 and the second in 1998 and both marriages were registered under the Hindu Marriage Act. That's why this matter got so complicated.
