In this video, I've covered why seed oils are bad for you. You may not be aware of this - Linoleic acid, something that might sound complex but actually makes up a good chunk of what we eat daily – about 6 to 10%.
We're eating way more of it than we probably should – like 6 to 10 times more than what's recommended! And it's mainly because of the oils used in cooking and processing food, like soybean, sunflower, and canola oils.
The problem with Linoleic acid is; it's not very stable, especially when you cook with it. It can bring complications to your cellular functions and cause inflammation. And worst part, it can linger in your body for up to two years, building up and causing health complications.
So, what can you do about it? Well, this video answers the exact question:
- Try to cut back on foods with linoleic acid, like processed foods, foods cooked with unstable oils, etc.
- Keep an eye on food labels and look for the ingredients.
- Ask how your food is cooked when you're eating out.
- And if you're into nuts and seeds, go easy on them.
- For meat, go for stuff that's raised on a more natural diet (I've recommended sources for this in the video).
