Michael Middleton, father of the Princess of Wales, turns 75 on Sunday, 23 June, and although he's likely to mark the occasion privately, we're sure the family will treat him. Michael and his wife Carole Middleton have had a difficult year with the collapse of their business, Party Pieces, and daughter Catherine's cancer diagnosis, but the family have always supported each other.
The businessman celebrated his 44th wedding anniversary with Carol on 21 June, the same day as their son-in-law Prince William's birthday. Last week, he and his wife Carol visited Royal Ascot to inform the nation that their princess daughter was doing well as she continues her cancer treatment.
But today, as he turns 75, Michael Middleton may be reflecting on how difficult this time has been for his family and the royals. Sources close to the royal family said Catherine became emotional during the intimate gathering. Catherine, Prince William and their three children, as well as Michael and Carole Middleton, were treated to a cosy dinner and meaningful conversation at the birthday celebration.
Her father has consistently supported the Princess throughout her treatment, and on this special day it was not only a tribute to his life, but a testament to the unwavering love and support that defines the Middleton family. Catherine's gratitude and love for her father was palpable, emphasising the strong family bonds that helped her through this difficult time.
The Welsh family have relied on the support of Michael and Carol since the diagnosis, which was announced after King Charles spoke about his own struggle with the illness. The former air traffic controller has a strong attachment to his three children; along with his wife Carol, he has supported Catherine, Pippa and James through some of the most important moments of their lives, including weddings and the birth of their children.

On Father's Day 2020, the princess shared a cute snapshot with her dad on the royal's Kensington social media account. The princess-to-be is sitting on Michael's lap, both wearing plaid shirts and jeans.
Ahead of the royal wedding in April 2011, the Middletons posted several family photos. Michael is pictured with his two daughters in Jordan, where the family has lived for about three years since 1984.

Catherine also celebrated Father's Day with Michael at Wimbledon in 2021, where they watched the men's singles wheelchair match as well as the men's singles final on Centre Court. The pair shared a funny moment that day when they let a wave into the crowd during the match between Gordon Reid and Jim Gerrard on Court 3.
