MP Michael Chong's speech to the Queen's University Conservative Association on February 4th, 2011.
The Honourable Mr. Chong is currently the Member of Parliament for Wellington-Halton Hills, has served in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of Sport, and has previously held the position of President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada.
He is a co-founder of the Dominion Institute (now the Historica-Dominion Institute), has taken a principled position regarding the "Québécois as a nation within a united Canada" motion, and is actively pushing a motion through Parliament to reform Question Period.
He spoke about his motion and his goal to improve decorum in Question Period and reconnect Canadians with the democratic institutions that belong to us all.
