On June 21st (2018), OBI hosted the first lecture of the Talk Brain series on Indigenous Culture and Connection to the Land with guest speaker Carol Hopkins, Executive Director of the Thunderbird Partnership Foundation, a leading authority on Indigenous addictions and mental wellness research and advocacy. The event highlighted the importance of the land and how it connects to indigenous culture and impacts mental health. The talk was followed by a Q&A session with André Picard, Health Columnist from The Globe and Mail.
