Private hospitals in Mumbai are reopening Covid-19 wards as fresh cases in the city are on the rise. Maharashtra reported 397 new Covid-19 cases on March 26th, a slight decrease from the previous day's 437. Active cases in the state have exceeded 2,000 for the first time since October. Mumbai reported 123 new cases with 17 new admissions to hospitals, a significant rise after several months. The city has 43 Covid-19 patients, of which 21 are receiving oxygen support. Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, has prepared a 15-bed triage ward and ICU for Covid cases, Bombay Hospital has 10-bed ward, while majority of Covid patients are admitted at the civic-run SevenHills Hospital. In India, with 1,805 new cases, active caseload has crossed the 10,000-mark. The daily positivity was recorded at 3.19 per cent while the weekly positivity was pegged at 1.39 per cent.
