In this Cow Eye or Sheep Eyeball Dissection Tutorial, we will look at the basic steps for a teacher to quickly get started.
The outer eye has five things to see, the cornea, the sclera, the optic nerve, fat, and muscle. Then remove the cornea, remove the iris, remove the lens. After the lens is out, look at the vitreous body and the retina in place. The retina will be destroyed by the next phase leading to the discovery of the attachment point of the optic nerve.
Scrape away the retina and you'll see the tapetum, the colored reflective layer that many animals have but humans do not.
