This video shows how I installed my catch can and ran the hoses on a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. I followed the steps that Cobb has laid out in one of their service bulletins. I just thought a video would be nice because the pictures in the bulletin can be a little confusing when it comes to knowing where the hoses are suppossed to run to. You can figure out the layout eventually from the bulletin pictures but I thought this might be helpful to some people.
I used parker push lock hose as it is vacuum and oil resistant. I beleive you can order it from global industrial online and there are a number of colors to choose from. I made my own brackets with aluminum flat bar and only had to drill one hole for a bolt as there was already a threaded hole where I mounted the catch can. You don't need to pull your car apart as much as I did in the video. I was doing some other stuff to my car when I decided to make this video.
One tip would be to lightly oil the barbed fittings with clean motor oil when making the connections with the hoses as it will make it a lot easier to get them on (or use spit haha). Once you do up the hose clamps it will still seal up nicely.
The process should be similar if not the same on a Mazdaspeed 6 and similar on a 2nd gen speed 3 though you may not want to use the second in line pcv valve on the gen 2s as i think the valve cover/pcv system was redesigned. It is up to you to research this.
The way I had the catch can installed I could still see the level of the fluid in the catch can on the view tube while looking under the hood without the car jacked up or anything like that. I even had a CX racing front mount intercooler installed and the piping never got in the way. I emptied the catch can every oil change and never had an issue with it filling up too much though I am sure it will vary car to car and depending on what mods you have and the condition of your turbo seals. If you are doing a lot of track racing or auto x you probably want to check it more frequently as I found driving the car hard causes the catch can to fill more quickly.
