Been having a lot of fun with the Early Access version of Baldur's Gate 3.
Here's a quick way to steal the Idol of Silvanus without upsetting the druids. Pretty sure this will be patched eventually. Q&A below, spoilers ahead! What other things have you stolen using this method?
=======
[Can I give the Idol to Mol? Will that make the Druids become aggressive?]
Yes, you can give the Idol to Mol. You can also immediately buy it back for a zucchini, a spoon, and a tin cup. Or just 3 gold. No, the Druids do not become aggressive.
[Can't I just use invisibility?]
As of right now in this version, touching the Idol breaks concentration and you get caught.
[I put it in a container but I keep getting caught.]
Make sure the container is on the ground and not in your inventory. If you still get caught it might have been patched!
[Will taking a Long Rest make the Druids aggressive?]
In my experience no, they will remain acting as if the Idol was never stolen. Even after I've given the Idol to Mol.
[Can I put the Idol back?]
Yes? I don't know if the game acknowledges that the Idol was taken in the first place, even if you sell it to Mol. It might not recognize you've returned it to the platform. The "take this item" icon never becomes red again. I just keep it to decorate my campsite.
[Will placing the idol on the ground give me the blessing anywhere?]
Yes.
