Wendy Bundy, one of our peer volunteers, led her “Using Yoga as a Tool for PTSD Recovery” presentation. During this presentation, Wendy shared her personal journey of discovering yoga during her recovery process, discuss some of her favorite yoga poses/breathing techniques and the associated benefits, and led the audience through a guided meditation.
In addition to being a trained NAMI In Our Own Voice Presenter and NAMI Peer-to-Peer Facilitator, Wendy Bundy is an approved Virginia DBHDS Peer Recovery Specialist Trainer and Mental Health First Aid-Adult Instructor. Wendy is also a Certified Personal Medicine Coach (CPMC), CPMC Trainer, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and trained in Seeking Safety, Digital Peer Support, Crisis Counseling Assistance, and Stress First Aid.
