IndianMoney.com was conceptualized to impart free unbiased financial education to common man in their language by Mr. C S Sudheer in 2008. There is an interesting incidence, which motivated Sudheer to launch such an initiative at a tender age of just 22. In 2008 he was working with an insurance company where he met an auto driver who was brutally mis led by a sales person. This auto driver was promised of a return of Rs 1 Lac on an investment of Rs 25,000/- after 3 years. This auto driver who had the responsibilities of two daughters on his shoulders was persuaded by the returns and invested in it. When Sudheer checked the policy document, the insurance policy was regular premium policy wherein this auto driver had to pay Rs 25,000/- for 3 years and post that returns will be based on market performance. The dreams of the auto driver were shattered and so was Sudheer’s thoughts on the whole financial services space. He affirmed himself that he shall put an end to such unscrupulous practices and that’s how IndianMoney.com was born.
Sudheer is not from a business family but from a farming background from Thirthahalli village in Shivamogga. He had a vision of what to do but very little idea on the execution of it. Financial Inclusion, Education and awareness are being discussed by Govt. Regulators and others these days. When IndianMoney.com was started, the initiative was much ahead of the curve and many people ridiculed the idea. However, with the strong belief, he marched ahead and has been able to educate over 23 Lac people over the phone call till date. And the company employs about 400 people in various locations of India.
