Urinary Tract Infection is a very common occurrence in Pregnancy. The reasons for that is the pregnancy hormone, that is progesterone. This is a hormone that indices state of the urinary tract in such a way that they will be prone to Urinary Tract Infection. With the pregnancy hormones all the motility of the urinary system is reduced. This motility reduction it leads to stagnation of urine and there is proneness for infection. So pregnancy and Urinary Tract Infection in Pregnancy is a common occurrence.
