Labour leader Keir Starmer has warned his party’s recovery would take longer than the year he has been at the helm. He said local elections on Thursday were a ‘test’ and the party would fight for every vote. Local and devolved elections are to take place across England, Wales and Scotland on Thursday 6 May.
