Gesture technology is the ability of a robot or a machine to work according to the gestures of a human by converting it into a command and execute. Gesture technology/recognition has three stages which are capturing of image, processing of image and data extraction. The project explained here aims to provide a simple and easy to use system which uses human hand’s gesture to control the motion of a robotic car. Here, there are two circuitries, one is the wireless hand glove for transmitting data and other is the robot car for receiving data. The heart of the project is the Arduino Nano microcontroller used in both the circuits. The communication between them is done by using the Radio Frequency Transmitter/Receiver modules. The direction of the robot car is controlled by the 3-axis Gyro Accelerometer (MPU-6050). Both the models are given power supply by using batteries. The car moves in the forward, backward, left, right direction or stops according to the command given by L293D Motor Driver. The system is cheap and efficient.
