Sumac Onions - these are so delicious with just about anything! It can be eaten as an add on in wraps or as a side to many meals.
Here’s what you will need (this makes quiet a lot so you may halve the recipe if needed)
* 2 purple onions
* cold water as needed
* ½ lemon
* 2 ½ teaspoons sumac
Method:
* Peel & sliver the onions.
* Place onions into a bowl & cover with cold water.
* Leave to rest for at least 10 minutes.
* Drain onions on a kitchen towel until dry.
* Place the drained onions into a bowl & squeeze the juice of ½ a lemon over.
* Add the sumac & mix well.
* Serve & enjoy!
This can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or until it still has a crunch.
