In this episode I show you how to practice using a baitcaster in your backyard, so that you can improve your bait casting skills when you hit the water. Pick up a practice weight or a dummy weight, the one used in this video is by South Bend and can be purchased on Amazon for $5.00. I first talk about fundamental knowledge that will help you with your overall casting. I then setup small targets around my casting area that I aim to hit utilizing several style of cast. The ones I go over include the pitch, overhand cast and the roll cast. Practicing when you are off the water will give you the confidence to use your baitcaster when it matters.
