How to parry in Smash Ultimate! A 2019 SSBU Parry Guide.
The new Super Smash Bros Ultimate perfect shield, power shield, parry− whatever you wanna call it, is a total rework of the old power shield mechanic that occurs on shield release as oppose to shield startup.
I've questioned myself whether this technique could be humanly consistent, especially in the heat of a competitive setting. But, I've seen the light, and just had to make a video of it.
In this video, I explain how I personally foresee the future of perfect shields in competitive Smash Ultimate, and share an effective method to practice it. And I go over 4 situations I've found to be highly practical to focus implementing parries as soon as possible!
