You can mix different patterns and yes
there is a trick to ensuring it looks
cohesive.
1️⃣ three categories of patterns every
time. Solid, Geometric and Complex
2️⃣ Create Rhythm through color.
Make sure the decor has similar
shades tones and tints from one to
the next to tie them all together.
3️⃣You can also use an analogous
or complimentary color scheme to
create rhythm as well. Most may not
know what that means. 😆 That okay

You can use this with everything not just
pillows. For example, you want a wall
with wall paper but also artwork. You
could do either geometric or complex
on one or the other. A room gets busy
when you do ALL of the same type of
pattern.
