The Southern California Basque picnic was held July 7, 2024. The picnic included a Catholic mass, performances by young Basque-American dancers and the klika, a barbecue lamb dinner, lukainka sandwiches and an evening dance by the band Amerikanuak.
It is always held the Sunday closes to the 4th of July. It is hosted by the Southern California Basque Club, formerly the Southern California Euskaldun Club, the oldest Basque club in the American West.
