A look at the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team in action back at Sun N Fun 2011. Flying in the inonic AT-6 Texan, nicknamed “The Pilot Maker”. Originally designed as a basic trainer for the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC), the Texan was the primary training aircraft for all U.S. airmen in World War II. Most of the pilots who trained in the AT-6 Texan later went on to fly fighter aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair during the war.
