Rybelsus, semaglutide in tablet form, is available to sample in the 3mg (induction-only) strength. For the time being, Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia Nervosa remain off-label indications (Ozempic was approved for obesity with attendant comorbidity), but primary care physicians do have semaglutide samples at their disposal. Unfortunately, so long as semaglutide and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) remain off-label for the treatment of eating disorders in those individuals without obesity or type II diabetes, access to these medications is greatly limited for most individuals by their cost-prohibitiveness.
