Joe the Aurora Hunter checking in from the Old Town area of Yellowknife. This is a 5 part video, this is Part 5. What a great day to go for a walk in Oldtown, blue skies and bright sunshine! The temperature today is -15C! That’s right only -15C and it’s January 08! Historically, January and February are normally the coldest months of the year, sometimes averaging -30’sC, and in years averaging in the -40’sC!! I grew up on Ragged Ass Road it was nice to walk this area again, so many memories came flooding back, I even got to meet a wonderful childhood friend during my walk!
Things have definitely changed, new houses, new buildings, but there is only one true Ragged Ass Road, and I will always have those special memories when I grew up there, played and maybe got in trouble once or twice.
