When coarsely ground and cooked in milk, the simple bread becomes a delicious creamy dessert.
BREAD RABDI
Ingredients
5 white bread slices
¾ cup condensed milk
2½ cups milk
½ tsp green cardamom powder
2 tbsps chopped pistachios + to sprinkle
2 tbsps chopped cashewnuts
2 tbsps chopped almonds
Dried rose petals for garnish
Method
1. Transfer bread slices in a blender jar and blend to a fine mixture.
2. Heat a deep nonstick pan add condensed milk and cook for 4-5 minutes.
3. Add milk and mix well. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add the bread and mix well.
4. Add green cardamom powder, pistachios, cashew nuts, almonds and mix well.
5. Transfer into serving bowl, garnish with pistachios and dried rose petals.
6. Serve warm or chilled.
