Earth’s atmosphere contains 21% oxygen (20.95% exactly). It is vital for our body functions and we cannot survive without oxygen. What would happen if oxygen levels started to increase and went all the way to 100%? Will anything survive that? Also, oxygen supports fire, so increased level of oxygen will make it way easier to burn things. Higher levels of oxygen will prove poisonous for most animals including humans. Even plants will cannot survive it. 300 million years ago the oxygen level was 30% and everything on earth was quite different, Palaeozoic era animals were giant insects like 70 cms dragonfly etc. this video gives an overview of the hypothetical scenario in which the oxygen levels rise up to 100%
