Overnight hike from Crystal Cove State Beach to Upper Moro Campground the trails through Laguna Coast Wilderness to Laguna Woods. Moro dry camps are about 3 miles up Moro Ridge. Then about 8 miles to Laguna Woods. Bring water, bug repellent and shade. There are picnic tables and outhouses. It’s extremely hot and exposed. Best in winter but expect heavy condensation from ocean. Excellent views of ocean, islands, sunrise, sunsets, moon and stars. Good Cell Service. About 40 campsites but I seldom see other campers. Many mountain bikers and trail runners.
