The Lion's Mane project is coming along quite nicely. I inoculated rye grain with an agar wedge of lion's mane about three weeks ago and followed the entire colonization process from day one. I also did a grain-to-grain transfer to double the amount of spawn I had in order to support a 5-6 pound fruiting block. Not the most action packed video, but a good glimpse into how lion's mane looks while consolidating grain spawn...the thinnest, wispiest mycelium I've seen so far.
This grain spawn is going into an enriched hardwood fruiting block, that video should be out soon!
