STABAT MATER Instrumental Piano accompaniment to Nr 2 "cujus animam gementem" of Pergolesi's STABAT MATER. Written by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710 - 1736) for Soprano & Contralto (Alto)

You can adjust the tempo of this accompaniment by using the "Playback Speed" under "Settings" to slow it down to .75 or even .05 speed if necessary.

This STABAT MATER is usually performed in LATIN and is traditionally sung during Christian Easter celebrations, particularly for Passiontide. Pergolesi's STABAT MATER can be sung by a SOPRANO and ALTO (CONTRALTO or COUNTERTENOR) or by a full CHOIR. It can be performed with just piano or organ, chamber orchestra or full string orchestra.
