St. Cyril was Bishop of Jerusalem from approximately 350-386 A.D. These catecheses were a series of lectures he gave to new Christians, with some of the lectures being given before baptism and some after baptism. This work gives an astounding theology of the Cross; particularly moving is that St. Cyril and his flock were in Jerusalem and could actually go and see the places where Christ conquered sin and death!
I apologize as I doubtless made a few errors in my reading. Also, the text I used seems to have a few typographical errors in it, for which I was not always able to reckon a correction on the fly.
