The National Graphene Institute (NGI) is a £61million world-leading research and commercialisation centre for graphene and other 2D materials.
As well as the NGI in 2017 the University will complete construction of the £60m Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), which will focus on bringing graphene products to the market.
The two centres complement one another, the NGI is a scientist lead research centre in collaboration with industry whereas the GEIC is industry-led.
