PRODUCT INSTALLATION
Nexans straight (inline) cable joints are installed onto Medium Voltage power cable systems to connect, repair or extend electricity distribution networks in 11kV 17.5kV 24kV 33kV and 42kV voltage classes – this includes jointing MV cables of single-core and 3-core construction with Paper (PILC) or Polymeric (XLPE EPR) insulation, armoured/unarmoured with copper tape or wire screen and stranded copper or aluminium type conductors.
The Nexans 36-42JTS1 heat shrinkable MV straight joints are designed for unarmoured, plastic insulated cables with copper wire or copper tape screen, to accommodate either crimped or mechanical connectors up to Umax 42kV cables and 25-1200sqmm conductors.
