Prior to the opening of Couturissime, art handlers, audio-visual designers, carpenters, conservators, curators, electricians, exhibition designers, and more spent weeks creating the continually changing environment for Mugler’s designs.
Titled “Metamorphosis,” this concluding gallery includes pret-a-porter from Mugler’s early collection “Spirale futuriste” (Fall/Winter 1979-80), which was worn by Jerry Hall, to iconic haute couture works from the collections “Les Insectes” (Spring/Summer 1997) and “Chimère” (Fall-Winter 1997-98). The video projections for this gallery were designed by the award-winning Rodeo FX.
