Here is a moment in which some Republicans booed and heckled President Joe Biden during his 2023 State of the Union address. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green repeatedly shouted "Liar!" from the back of the chamber.
“Some of my Republican friends want to take the economy hostage – I get it – unless I agree to their economic plans," President Biden said moments before booing erupted. "All of you at home should know what those plans are. Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset."
This is when the boos began.
"I’m not saying it’s the majority," President Biden continued. "Let me give you anybody who doubts it, contact my office. I’ll give you a copy of the proposal.”
