Cadair Idris (Pen Y Gader) is the highest mountain in the South Snowdonia National Park. Summit is 893 meters above sea level.

There are four paths to the summit. Foxes path starts from Ty Nant car park, walk few meters towards Lake Gwernan, and the path starts just opposite the lake. It is the shortest route due to direct ascent. Path is steep and covered in scree making it dangerous.
