Chandelles are one of the first maneuvers we learn when training for the commercial pilot certificate. They're a great way to sharpen your stick and rudder skills because they require you to maintain positive aircraft control and rudder coordination through all stages of flight from straight and level through climbing pitch up at slow airspeed. The key to mastering the chandelle is to use a constantly varying amount of control inputs, especially on the rudder.
