Today I am showing you how to make my Grandma’s Southern Pickled Peaches. My grandma had peach trees in her garden and she would put up (can) pickled peaches every season. My Grandma had seven kids, five of them were boys and those boys pretty much ate my grand parents out of house and home. Because pickled peaches were so beloved in the house, she would have to hide about 10 jars underneath her bed for Thanksgiving and Christmas time. She would also make fruitcakes in the fall and hide them under her bed because those boys would eat everything if she didn’t. I made these for my mama. It’s my grandma‘s recipe and every time she has some with lunch and it reminds her of her mama and those days long ago. I am making more because I want my mama to be able to have them this Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be doing a fruitcake video this fall, no jokes about fruitcakes because unless you’ve had real fruitcake, you just don’t know how delicious they actually are.
