Puto is a well known delicacy in the Philippines usually made from steamed rice flour. You can eat it on its own or sometimes with some Filipino dishes like “Dinuguan” or Pancit. Birthdays won’t be the same without Puto on their Menu.

This version of mine is different from the usual Puto Recipe. Instead of using rice flour, I used Cake flour (or you can use all purpose flour, the result will be the same). I also added grated cheese to give more taste and top with Cheese too.

The procedure is so straightforward that’s why everyone could follow my recipe. It’s so easy to make yet the result is so satisfying.


Ingredients
2 Cups Cake Flour (or All Purpose Flour)
½ Cup White Sugar
1 Pc Large Egg
2 Tbsp Baking Powder
5 Tbsp Butter (or Margarine)
Pinch of Salt
1 Cup Evaporated Milk
1 Cup Water
½ Grated Cheese
