Often friends and family will think I just don't care when I don't remember something. But I have SDAM, a memory disorder, and I literally just can't remember things in my life. I'm still learning about it and how I'm different from people with regular memories, because there isn't enough language that really relates internal experiences out there yet. That's why contributing to the conversation about how our brains work is so important to me.
