What Started It All
Nexxis was founded by successful technology professionals who bring over 100 years of experience with Manufacturers, VARS, and Carriers.
With a background in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, John Camello, President, started his career as an Applications Engineer, configuring and installing Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) systems at commercial Call Centers and E9-1-1 PSAP's throughout the United States. He subsequently enjoyed years of successful sales experience providing PBX, IP Telephony, Internet, Data Connectivity, Colocation, and Cloud services to small and large private and public organizations with industry leaders like NEC, Avaya, CenturyLink. He was lead Subject Matter Expert for Hosted Voice at Lightpath (now Altice), playing a pivotal role in launching their offering, and built award-winning sales teams as Director of Sales at GTE (now Verizon) and United Asset Coverage (UAC), where his contributions helped them achieve the rank of #24 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in the United States. John was also Vice President of Sales at Platinum Communications, a New Jersey based Avaya dealer, and at Total Technology Solutions, an IT Managed Service Provider, where he built the company’s first sales team from scratch, established new lines of business, and closed the company's first-ever carrier services deal.
John's sales and operations background provided the foundation that inspired him to appreciate how companies are impacted when new services are installed and what could be done better to improve the customer's experience. John decided he wanted to better serve his Clients by not only offering superior solutions but also by having more direct control of services deployed, ongoing performance, and overall Customer Satisfaction. It was then that Nexxis was born.
