To acknowledge the forthcoming discography of Betty Bolton by Alexandros Kozak, I'll be sharing six recordings by this rather overlooked vocalist of the late '20s to the mid '30s.
In choosing half a dozen titles, I've consulted with Alexandros and for the next six weeks or so we'll be hearing some seldom heard recordings.
The first of the selection is a Walter Donaldson composition "You didn't have to tell me".
Most of Betty's recording were issued under her own name but this is an exception, using the pseudonym Gracie Collins, here's a good example of Betty Bolton's output.
