An estimated 100,000 people in Britain suffer from Charles Bonnet syndrome - a sight disorder that causes hallucinations in individuals with sight loss. The symptoms can be terrifying and have devastating psychological consequences, but there's very little awareness of the disorder. It's thought many suffer in silence, without even knowing what's wrong with them.
