This is a short / partial test of the Martin D12, D18, D28, and D35 guitars. I really only tested strumming and simple chords as I didn't want to take up too much of their time. These are all the Standard versions of these guitars, not Modern Deluxes, etc

I am in the market for my first dreadnought Martin guitar. I currently own a Clapton 00028EC Martin which is my main stage guitar. I want to add a dreadnought or two to my collection. I had gone to the Music Emporium because they have a D18 Modern Deluxe in stock. I heard a lot of clips comparing the D18 Standard to the D18 Modern Deluxe and I thought I liked the sound of the MD a little bit more from my online viewing. When I actually played the MD in store compared to the D18 Standard, I found the D18 Standard sounded a bit more natural to me. When I realized I kind of preferred the Standard, I saw they had a couple of other classic Martins in stock that I wanted to hear side by side to see which I preferred the sound of.
