Iraq's cinema industry is making a comeback after decades of conflict, with the first Iraqi-made film in 25 years playing in theatres.
Filmmaker Mohammed al-Daraji says the film gives a sober moral perspective on the war that devastated Iraq, killed a million people, according to human rights groups figures, and dispossessed refugees and orphans.
Iraqi filmmakers say they will try and persuade Iraqi audiences to watch domestic productions, and that means competing with Hollywood blockbusters and Egyptian films that are popular across the Arab world.
