It's unclear whether there are 4 or 5 hatchlings. Some count four, others see five. There is still at least one unhatched egg so we'll see how many are there come morning! Mom does her best to keep them warm and under her but this is an active group!! There is a good chance that tomorrow will be jump day. If not tomorrow then for sure Friday. Mom has not left the nest for two days now. She needs to eat. The kids are fine for now since they have the reserve of what they ate of the yolk sac before hatch. When they jump hopefully the nest cam can focus downward and spot them on the ground. If not there will be people on the ground filming and hopefully their videos will be posted for us to watch afterwards. It also will be great to get ground reports of the goslings landing. Hopefully all will be OK!!
Many thanks to RRP for its cams on this nest and for their conservation efforts on behalf of Raptors.
